Frank Gallery Exhibition
Jim is one of the featured artists having work in the "Tree: Witness to Life" exhibition at the Frank Gallery in Chapel Hill July 8 -September 7, 2014. As a gallery member he has additional pieces on display at the Gallery that are not part of the special exhibition.
New Gallery Representation
In December, 2013, Jim became a member of the Frank Gallery in Chapel Hill.
Inspired By The Lens Exhibition
From September 10 through October 6, 2013, there is an exhibition at the Frank Gallery in Chapel Hill titled "Inspired by the Lens". This includes contributions from 6 artists involving different media. Jim has a "Tree Root" table in this exhibit that was inspired by images of the root systems of trees and is made with tapered, bent, laminated legs.
Talk at Triangle Woodworkers Association
On September 17, 2013, Jim has been invited to give a talk on "Tapered Bent Laminations" and he will describe the process for making both single and double tapered laminations.

Saxapahaw Gallery Exhibition
The Saxapahaw Gallery in Saxapahaw, NC is having a "Wood As Art" Exhibition August 3- September 2 2012. I am one of the featured artists and have seven furniture pieces in the exhibition.

In January 2013 an image of my work appeared on the cover of the International Journal of Radiation Oncology Biology Physics.
I have developed designs for cheese boards that feature a variety of hardwoods and which have decorative inlays with a contrasting dark wood known as wenge.

Orange County Artists Guild Open Studio Tour
On November 5 and 6, 2011, I participated in the Open Studio Tour, partnering with Barbara Tyroler (http://www.btyroler.com/). This was very successful with about 100 visitors coming to see our work. About half of my table and cutting boards on display were purchased.

In February 2011 I was accepted as a member of the OCAG through a jury process.
