This table is the prototype of a new design for a side table, although a similar construction could be used for a variety of tables - a coffee table, for instance. The construction of the legs utilizes a torsion box technique with bending plywood over a ribbed core. A variety of veneers are applied to the bending plywood in a vacuum press. The central veneer is 4-way matched oak burl. The dark edge accent is wenge. The rails are oak and are finished with black milk paint, polyurethane oil, and black wax.
