This sculpture consists of a carved black walnut base; blue milk paint was applied to the carved portion and then green milk paint was scumbled over the blue area. The serpentine carving is curly maple with a blue dye applied. The yellowish color of the maple resulted in the final color being green. This work is designed to be mounted on a wall in either the vertical or horizontal position.
